Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Renotify platform ("Service") operated by Renotify ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Account Registration

To use Renotify, you must create an account with accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Renotify only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Send unsolicited messages (spam), or marketing messages to recipients who have not consented
  • Trigger messages to numbers you have no relationship with, including to generate traffic to premium or high-cost destinations
  • Violate any applicable laws, including data protection and privacy regulations
  • Send content that is abusive, threatening, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Use the Service to violate WhatsApp's Business Policy or Commerce Policy
  • Resell access to the Service without our written consent

3. Channels and Compliance

Renotify delivers messages over WhatsApp, SMS, email and the other channels you connect through providers we contract with, or, on the Agency plan, through a provider you connect yourself. You are responsible for your messages and for complying with the rules of each channel, including:

  • Obtaining and recording consent before sending marketing messages
  • Using approved WhatsApp templates for business-initiated messages, in the right category (utility, marketing or authentication)
  • Honouring opt-outs promptly; Renotify applies STOP replies and email unsubscribes automatically
  • Following WhatsApp's Business and Commerce Policies and applicable SMS and email rules

WhatsApp numbers Renotify provides. These are connected and operated through our messaging partner, SendSeven, and Meta. You connect a number through SendSeven's connect page and Meta's signup window, which requires a Meta (Facebook) Business account that Meta may ask you to verify. By connecting, you authorise SendSeven to access that WhatsApp Business Account and its messages so it can send and receive messages for you through Renotify. You keep ownership of your number and your Meta Business account.

We may suspend sending for accounts that repeatedly violate these rules, generate excessive complaints, or show signs of fraudulent traffic.

4. Subscription and Billing

Plans. Your plan is billed monthly in advance in US dollars. It includes a number of monthly active contacts; contacts beyond that allowance, and add-ons such as extra seats or numbers, are billed in arrears on your next invoice. Plans renew automatically until cancelled. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

Prepaid messaging. Messages sent through channels Renotify provides are paid from a prepaid messaging balance. Each outbound message is charged when it is sent, at our published price for its channel, destination and type; WhatsApp's own fee is charged when the message is delivered. Inbound messages are free. If your balance cannot cover a message, it waits until you add funds. Prices may change when our providers' prices change; the price shown at the time of sending applies.

Top-ups and auto-recharge. You can add funds at any time. If you turn on auto-recharge, you authorise us to charge your saved card the amount you choose whenever your balance falls below your threshold. Auto-recharge switches off if a charge fails.

Credit. Purchased credit does not expire. Promotional credit, such as trial credit, can only be used for messages, has no cash value, and expires at the end of the trial. If your plan ends and is not renewed within 30 days, or you delete your account, any remaining balance is forfeited; request a refund of unused purchased credit before then. If a top-up payment is disputed or reversed, the amount is removed from your balance and sending may be paused.

Your own provider. On the Agency plan, messages sent through a provider you connect are billed by that provider, not by Renotify.

We will give you reasonable notice before changing plan prices.

5. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you upload or create within Renotify, including contacts, templates, and message content. We process your data solely to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to store and process the personal data of your contacts, and for complying with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR, where applicable).

6. Team Workspaces

Team owners are responsible for managing their team members and their access levels. Data within a team workspace is isolated from other teams. When a team member is removed, their access to team data is immediately revoked.

7. API Usage

Access to the Renotify API is governed by these Terms. API tokens should be kept secure and rotated regularly. We reserve the right to rate-limit API requests to maintain service quality.

8. AI Features

Renotify offers AI-powered features including template translation and AI chat agents. AI-generated content is provided as-is and should be reviewed before use. You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of messages sent using AI-generated content.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We will provide reasonable notice for planned maintenance when possible.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Renotify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

When a plan ends. When your subscription or trial ends, sending stops straight away; your data and numbers are kept so you can resubscribe. Thirty days later, WhatsApp numbers Renotify provides are released, auto-recharge is switched off and your remaining messaging balance is forfeited. Deleting your account cancels your subscription immediately and releases your numbers.

We will retain your data for a reasonable period to allow you to export it, after which it will be deleted.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jamaica, without regard to conflict of law principles.
